About Us

In 1991 Sheldon and Sheila met at SAIT in Calgary, Alberta where they were both enrolled in the Professional Cooking Program. In 1992 both graduated with a certificate in this program. Sheldon went on to obtain his degree in Meat Processing at Olds College in Olds, Alberta in 1993.

In 1995 Sheldon and Sheila were married and later started a family. In 1996 on November 26, they opened Spilchuk Meats. Together they operate the business which continues to be successful.

In 2007 after several phone calls to the meat shop requesting us to supply catered meals, we decided to utilize all of our education and experience and we started making plans for our next adventure. It took two years of planning and many blueprints, but finally we came up with our new business, A Little Taste of Heaven Catering Inc.

On June 2, 2010 we took possession of a brand new 53 foot self contained mobile kitchen. This unit has the capabilities to serve 2000+ people at one time.

A Little Taste of Heaven Catering Inc. has served functions for the Rotary Club of Estevan, supplied concession to the Yorkton Exhibition and we have even tackled the Craven Country Jamboree. We also provide your meal needs at reunions, anniversaries, auctions and many other social functions.
